Our sorority takes pride in our involvement with the community. Since our foundation we have placed a strong emphasis on giving back to serve those in need by participating in community service on three different levels.

National Day of Service
Annually
in March, the sisters of Hermandad de Sigma Iota Alpha, Inc.
participate in a National Day of Service. Our organization has always
placed special emphasis on hands-on community service activities. SIA's
National Day of Service unites Hermanas across the country through
service. Members show solidarity by simultaneously participating in
service projects throughout the nation.
Our 6th Annual National Day of Service will take place on Saturday, March 2nd, 2013

Annual Ribbon Campaigns
In 2008, as part of an
effort to place emphasis on some of our traditional hands on projects,
our sorority launched the Annual Ribbon Campaigns. In sequential order,
they rotate yearly and focus on the following philanthropies: Red Ribbon
focuses on HIV/AIDS charities such as AIDSWalk and One Heartland, Gold
Ribbon focuses on Special Olympics, and Blue Ribbon focuses on March of
Dimes.
